# CapEx Tracker — What's New in v2

## Overview

The CapEx Tracker has been updated with a redesigned layout, new fields, smarter filters, and significantly improved exports. Both the **Purchase Orders** tab and the **Planning** tab have changes.

## Both Tabs

### Single Page — No More Jumping Around
The Purchase Orders tab and Planning tab now live on the same page. You no longer need to navigate between separate pages — just click the tab at the top.

### Redesigned Filter Bar
Both tabs have a new responsive filter bar:
- Filter fields are organized in rows and resize cleanly with the browser window
- Multi-select filters (Requestor, Location, MSA, etc.) now use a **checkbox dropdown** — click to open, check what you want, and submit. No more scrolling through a long list and holding Ctrl.
- Your active filter choices stay visible on the filter bar after you apply them.
- **Applied Filtering** label shows a summary of what's currently active.

### Export Respects Your Filters
Previously the Export button ignored your filters and dumped everything. Now:
- **Export View** exports exactly what you're looking at — filtered results only.
- If you want everything, just clear your filters first, then export.

## Purchase Orders Tab

### Editor Opens as a Popup (No New Tab)
When you click **View** on any row, the editor now opens as an **overlay panel** on the same page instead of a new browser tab. When you save and close, the table underneath:
- Automatically refreshes
- Scrolls back to the row you just edited
- Briefly highlights it in green so you can find it at a glance

### Export View — Full Data, All Fields
The Export now includes every field from the editor form — not just the columns you see in the table. This includes:

| **Assets** | All linked asset numbers, one per line |

### "Export ALL" Button Removed
The Export ALL button (which ignored filters) has been removed. Use **Export View** with filters cleared if you need a full data pull.

### New Filters Added to Purchase Orders
- **Area Director** — filter by AD
- **Regional Director** — filter by RD
- **Spend Posted Date Range** — filter by when spend was posted in Sage/Intacct

## Planning Tab

### New Columns in the Table

| Column | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| **Updated Est. Cost** | Revised quote amount when the original estimate has changed |
| **Blendco Order** | Yes / No — tracks whether a Blendco order has been placed |
| **Last Updated** | Timestamp of when the record was last changed |

### Updated Variance Calculation
Variance now automatically uses the **Updated Estimated Cost** when one has been entered, rather than always using the original Estimated Cost. If no updated cost has been set, it falls back to the original — no change to existing behavior.

### New Fields in the Editor

**Updated Estimated Cost**
- A new optional field for revised quotes
- Once filled in, it becomes the number used in the Variance calculation
- The original Estimated Cost field becomes read-only on existing records (it can still be set when creating a new record)

**Blendco Order**
- Yes / No dropdown, optional
- Appears after Quote Confirmed in the editor

### New Filters Added to Planning
- **Quote Confirmed** — filter to Yes or No
- **Last Updated** date range — filter records by when they were last modified (useful for finding recent activity)

### Planning Export — Improved
- Column headers are now human-readable (e.g. "Month Deployed" instead of `deployment_month`)
- Quote Confirmed exports as **Yes** or **No** (was showing `1` or `0`)
- **Notes History** column added — all notes from the notes panel, in chronological order, each on its own line
- ID column removed
- Export respects your active filters
